Good news!
In our previous post, we described the lawsuit that has been filed for children who receive home nursing through Medicaid's NPCS program. Illinois had attempted to eliminate or reduce the hours of virtually all children in this program.
Today, the judge for the lawsuit approved a temporary restraining order. This means that the state will not be allowed to reduce the hours or eliminate nursing for any children who receive nursing through regular Medicaid. Any child who has had his/her hours reduced or eliminated will immediately have his/her hours restored to their previous levels.
